Leader Specialist Components’s Terms and Conditions of Sale

The following are terms and conditions for the sale of goods that will govern any contract for sale that we enter into with you, the consumer. Please read these terms and conditions carefully.

These Terms and Conditions tell you the rights and obligations you have. You may have other rights granted by law and these Terms and Conditions do not affect them. This does not affect your statutory rights as a consumer.

We would advise you to print these terms & conditions of sale for your own reference, as they form part of the contract for the sale of goods between Leader Specialist Components and you the consumer.

Data Protection

Leader Specialist Components will not pass on any of your details to any third party or marketing company. Leader Specialist Components may contact you via e-mail from time to time. We will not use your details for other purposes without asking your consent and you may ask that your details are removed from our system at any time by writing to us.

Purchasing from us

To purchase from us you must be over 18 years of age. By submitting your order you are offering to buy the goods at the prices stated and under these terms and conditions. We are not obliged to supply the goods to you until we have confirmed acceptance of your order – Your order is deemed accepted when you receive a confirmation for dispatch of goods, this is when the contract is made. You do not own the goods until we receive payment in full. If you discover you have made a mistake with your order please contact us immediately. Please do this before we confirm your order.

Product Images and Part Number Codes

Product images displayed are for illustration purposes only and may differ from actual products received. Leader Specialist Components endeavours to supply goods as per images shown, however manufactures do vary design and part numbers and we reserve the right to supply identical items with alternative part numbers without prior notice to the customer.

Leader Specialist Components endeavours to supply correct information for all its products but can not guarantee the accuracy of the descriptions on our website. It is for you the consumer to ensure the product purchased is correct for your purposes. If you spot any errors, please inform us and we will endeavour to correct any incorrect products.

Product Conditions

New
Items will be new and where stated will have the Original Manufacturers full 12 month warranty from date of purchase. Where a warranty is provided it is for the part purchased only and not for any associated costs for fitting or fault finding or any other associated expenses or parts affected. All warranties are provided on a Return To Base (RTB) basis, whereby postage costs for the return to us are payable by the buyer.

As New
Items will be used but in a condition that suggests they have never been put to use, used no more than a few times or have simply been purchased and returned. These items are fully tested and described as ‘As New’.

Prices and Payment

Prices are shown in UK pounds sterling or Euros and will be billed in UK pounds sterling or Euros. If your credit card company operate in a different currency, your credit card company will convert payment at their current conversion rate.

All prices and offers are subject to change, and availability. Prices are checked regularly; however, whilst every effort is made to eliminate errors in pricing, sometime errors do occur. If prices on the web site are shown higher than the actual selling price – we will make adjustments and charge the correct price to you. If prices on the web site are shown lower than actual selling price – then we will at our discretion either. a) contact you, cancel your order and refund your money, or b) contact you to confirm if you wish to proceed with the order at the correct price. – Subject to not selling below our cost price.

The purchaser is liable for any local state or country taxes, should these arise. According to our current information, these will not normally arise for deliveries to EU members and some other European countries.

Cooling-Off Period

By law you have the right to cancel any order within seven days of the day after the item is delivered to you. The right to cancel does not include certain goods or services i.e audio or video recordings or computer software if they are unsealed by the consumer. You need to write to us and inform us you wish to exercise your right to cancel your order, obtaining our confirmation of your request. We will refund your money less any delivery costs, All we ask is please take care of our goods, ensure all items are complete are in their original packaging, unused and in resalable condition. For your protection, please send items back well packaged and using a recorded delivery service.

If you do not return the goods within 21 days of cancellation we will collect the goods from you at your cost and will deduct the cost of collection from your refund, or if requested we will arrange collection of items at your cost.

All monies paid for cancelled goods will be refunded within 30 days from date of cancellation.

Please note: It is a legal requirement that you take care of the goods and you are responsible for the carriage costs of returning goods to us unless we delivered goods to you in error, or if goods are faulty.

Delivery

Leader Specialist Components will endeavour to dispatch all orders the next working day after receiving payment. In the unlikely event of us being unable to meet this deadline we will contact you via email to advise you of the revised delivery date for your order.

We aim to deliver goods to you within the time scale indicated but we cannot give an exact delivery time or date. We also may deliver the goods in several consignments, but will not charge any extra delivery for this.

You will be informed by e-mail when your goods have been dispatched.

Should you have any problems please contact us immediately by telephone on +44 (0) 1737 236 640. If you do not contact us within 2 working days from date of receipt, we may assume your goods have been delivered in perfect condition.

If we have not dispatched the goods within 30 days of expected delivery then you may cancel the contract. We will refund any monies paid by you.

If our couriers attempt to delivery your goods and no recipient was available to take delivery, they will take your goods back to the local depot and hold your package for up to 3 working days, if the package has not been successfully delivered within the time given the order will be returned back to us and classed as a failed delivery. If your order has been classed as a failed delivery, we can either re-send your order (at your cost) or a refund will be issued for the order less any delivery costs incurred by us.

We use established Couriers such as DHL or Royal Mail. Experience tells us that the cheapest transport is not the best.

Damaged or defective goods

For security purposes, all goods supplied by Leader Specialist Components may be invisibly marked to enable quick identification of goods supplied by us.
You should inspect your goods immediately upon delivery for defects, damages or shortage. Please note images used on our web site are for illustration purposes only and may differ from actual products received. If you find any defects or damages you must inform us in writing as soon as possible.

All claims for damages against Royal Mail will be entered into by you the consumer. Leader Specialist Components will provide you with the necessary receipts for a claim to be made. In the event of damage by courier we will arrange the return of your goods and we will make claim against the courier on your behalf.

If the goods are found to be defective, they must be returned to us in their original packaging. Goods damaged during return transit will be the responsibility of the consumer if they are not wrapped in the original packaging. All goods returned as defective, will be re-tested and authenticated as being supplied by Leader Specialist Components before a replacement or refund is made. Leader Specialist Components will endeavour to complete this process within 48 hours of receiving the defective goods.

If returned goods are found to be in good working order following testing, or are found to have not been supplied by us, Leader Specialist Components will charge a 20% handling fee and the consumer will be required to pay further postal costs for the return of the goods to them. The consumer will have the choice to accept a refund for the goods less postage costs and the 20% handling fee.

Your statutory rights as a consumer is not affected by this

Returns

All Returns must be returned at your cost unless item(s) are sent to you in error or returned as defective but later found to be in full working order (this is non-refundable). All items suspected to be damaged or faulty must be returned and tested, if no fault can be found or suspected fault replicated, then the item(s) will be returned to you at your own cost. A handling charge of 20% (maximum of £20.00) will be incurred for testing with no faults found, or a refund for the item will be issued and the item restocked (Please note a 20% handling/stocking fee will be applied). We will only send replacement goods upon receipt of returned items

We advise you to print and keep safe a copy of these Terms and Conditions. Please send goods back to us using recorded delivery with insurance, we can not be held responsible for goods damaged in transit whilst returning to us.

Business customers

If you are a business or if the goods are used wholly or in part for business purposes we shall not be liable to you for any business loss including loss of profits (whether direct or indirect) business data, revenue, goodwill, or incidental, or consequential loss that you may suffer as a result of the purchase of goods from us. Any other liability shall be limited to the price paid for the goods. We do not exclude our liability for fraud or for death or personal injury. For our performance time is not of the essence. Returns are subject to a 20% handling fee. You will not export any goods purchased from us in contravention of any International laws & by laws.

Privacy

Leader Specialist Components are aware that you the consumer are concerned as to what happens with personal information provided by you. We respect your privacy and treat all information as private and confidential, we will only use information supplied by you for the purpose of internal accounts, delivery of goods, and for us to keep in contact with you from time to time regarding your order progress. We may also use this information for improving our quality of service and inform you of promotional deals we are offering from time to time.

We do not and will not sell or release information provided by you to any other third parties, except when in connection with your orders (ie Couriers), or in exceptional cases of debt recovery. Unless required by law.

All Trade Marks & Logos used belong to their respective owners, and we will comply, acknowledge and respect the owner’s wishes as and when requested.
